Thermal transfer printing label materials

With the thermal transfer label printer you can print various thermal transfer labels. The film of the labels to be printed is usually made of high quality plastic. Label materials made of plastic offer a variety of advantages (e.g. in terms of abrasion resistance, durability, type of use, and resistance to high temperature) over film materials made of paper. In the manufacturing sector, most industrial companies therefore rely on plastic as a material and the thermal transfer printer as a printing method.

TEP thermal transfer printer labels are excellent for printing on the following films: polyester, vinyl, polyolefins, textile fabrics and polyamide fabrics. The quality of the ribbons is also determined by the material used (the color of the materials is not important). Only if both are matched to each other, you will achieve the best printing results in the highest print quality.

Thermal transfer printer labels FAQ

Some questions we get very often about our thermal transfer printers. We have summarized them for you here. Do you need help or more information about a specific printer? Then simply contact us - our labeling experts will be happy to help you.

What are the advantages of the thermal transfer printer labels over a direct thermal printer?

With the thermal transfer label printer, you achieve a more robust and consistent print result than with a direct thermal printer. Direct thermal printers are often used in the logistics sector for shipping labels and for marking packaging.

However, as soon as higher demands are placed on the label material and print quality, direct thermal printing quickly reaches its limits. Since in transfer printing the ink is melted from the ribbon onto the label material under the effect of selective heat, a very robust print result is produced.

Can the thermal transfer printer print labels also cable markers?

Yes with the thermal transfer printer labels can also be printed cable markers. Depending on the application, either labels or cable markers are suitable for marking in industry. With the Texit thermal transfer label printer, both types of marking can be printed flexibly and easily on a permanent basis. Thus, you only need one printer on site.

How does the thermal transfer printer for labels work?

In the thermal transfer process, ink is melted onto the label material to be printed via ink ribbons by heat in the print head. This printing process enables a particularly high print resolution and an extremely robust print result. The thermal transfer ribbon is always selected as a consumable to match the material of the labels.

What interfaces does the thermal transfer printer have labels?

The TEP thermal transfer label printer has 2 USB master interfaces for connection via USB 2.0, scanner or memory stick (also suitable for the connection of an external keyboard) as well as an Ethernet 10/100 interface. More information can be found in the data sheet of the printer.

Great sweater for winters in the Midwest
Color: Black, Size: X-Large
Love this sweater! I went back and got another color! The fit is true to size and very comfy. The button detail on the sleeves just adds a little pizazz. The weight of the sweater is perfect for winters in the Midwest.

Flattering fit
Color: Dark Green, Size: XX-Large
This sweater is thick and stretchy but holds a nice shape, and is flattering on the body. The sleeves are nice and long too, which I really appreciate, being a tall person... the button detail is a great addition. True to size. I haven't washed it yet, and I imagine, based on the kind of woolly knit it is, that this sweater will eventually pill... but for now I'm enjoying being cozy and stylish. The deep green color is almost black green. I LOVE IT.

Love it
Color: Dark Green, Size: Small
I got the dark green. Love the sweater and it's warm. I do layer the sweater as well. It is as pictured. Size is perfect to me. I like sweaters to be longer and a bit wider in case it is freezing and I need to layer it. This sweater is perfect for layering. It comes closer to my backside, it is a little wide and not snug, and I like that the sleeves come over my wrists

Still soft but looks terrible after 1 wash. Save your money
Color: White, Size: Small, Color: White, Size: Small
Update: sweater looked great when I received. After 1 wash it looks terrible. Looks like it’s been washed too many times, material fuzzy and piled. After wearing it once, it snagged and the knit pulled through. I would NOT recommend. I had such high hopes. Save your money. Very nice sweater, especially for the price! I love the details of the buttons on the sleeves. It is SO soft. It’s not super thick as I can see my skin through it when pressing my hand up against fabric. However, it’s not see through when wearing it. It’ll be perfect in cooler weather and perfect in the winter with a coat but won’t cause me to overheat when in a heated environment. I do feel like it runs big. I could have sized down a size. Although I’m not sure if it’ll shrink after a wash or two.

Disappointed.
Color: Blue, Size: Large, Color: Blue, Size: Large
This sweater is so comfortable and very soft. It fits well in a flattering, oversized way. But after one wash it is pilled everywhere which makes it look old and shabby. It’s at a price point where I feel compelled to return it.
