Shortly after that she began working on a few of her novels that came to be her most famous ones: Sense & Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice, Mansfield Park and Emma. All of her works are set in the British aristocracy, and Austen uses humor and irony to describe different situations from everyday life. More commonly Austen writes with a note of criticism towards the social conventions and rituals of the aristocracy, that inhibit the characters - first and foremost, the women - in their pursuit to find love and happiness. The conception and design behind our bookends stem from Swedish renowned industrial designer, Jan Landqvist and are made in the small town of Gnosjö in the south of Sweden.
