Die Race Hydration Vest wurde mit Fokus auf Funktionalität hergestellt und ist speziell für die Versorgung mit Nahrung auf dem Fahrrad konzipiert. Die hohe Platzierung auf dem Rücken sorgt für maximalen Komfort in der Fahrposition und ist mit Trikottaschen kompatibel, sodass unterwegs leichter Zugriff auf das Wesentliche möglich ist. Sie wurde in einem echten Unisex-Design entwickelt, das Komfort für Personen aller Geschlechter und Körpertypen gewährleistet.
Die Race Hydration Vest legt mit drei Einstellpunkten – Seiten, Schultern und Brust – den Schwerpunkt auf Komfort. Das Brusthalterungssystem bietet fünf Einstellpunkte und umfasst elastisches Gurtband, eine integrierte Pfeife zur Sicherheit und ein einfaches An- und Auszieh-Clipsystem, das mit Handschuhen bedient werden kann.
Der Rucksack ist mit einer 2-Liter-Blase ausgestattet und verfügt über ein erweiterbares Innenfutter für eine optimale Passform der Blase, sodass bei längeren Fahrten keine Unannehmlichkeiten auftreten. Auf der Rückseite des Rucksacks befinden sich zwei Einstecktaschen aus elastischem Netzgewebe, in denen problemlos zwei zusätzliche Flaschen Platz finden, sowie Gurtschlaufen, die zur Befestigung von Karabinern für andere Gegenstände wie Renntracker verwendet werden können.
Auf der Vorderseite des Rucksacks befinden sich leicht erreichbare Taschen aus elastischem Netzgewebe, die sich ideal zum Tragen einer Wasserflasche und von Snacks eignen. Außerdem ist eine erweiterbare Reißverschlusstasche mit einem Schlüsselclip im Inneren vorhanden, um schnell auf Wertsachen zugreifen zu können. Das beidhändige Blasenführungssystem und der verstellbare magnetische Halteclip ermöglichen es dem Benutzer, genau zu wählen, wo er den Trinkschlauch führen und aufbewahren möchte, wenn er nicht verwendet wird.
Die reflektierenden Reißverschlusszüge, Logos und Gurtdetails verbessern die Sichtbarkeit aus allen Winkeln und tragen zur Sicherheit bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen bei. Eine Lichtschlaufe ermöglicht außerdem die Befestigung einer Anstecklampe.

A very comfy, pleasant casual sports watch- especially good for training

The Ironman series of watches has been around for about 40 years now, and with good reason. The current iteration doesn't disappoint. It's light weight, easy-to-read, has a good backlight, offers simple operation, great buttons, a decently loud chime, and is a feature rich watch. I purchased this one on a lark; it was sold as "used- very good" from an Amazon warehouse for $20. The Timex packaging/ box was damaged, but the watch itself was new, wrapped and seemed unused. Since I do not wear an item's packaging, I always look for such items when shopping on Amazon, as it can save quite a bit. In this case it was $12 less expensive, or about 1/3 less costly.
I have owned a digital watch for over 40 years; from left to right in the photo- my 1980 Seiko (owned since new), my daily Casio, which has solar and atomic clock radio signal time setting, and the Ironman for you to compare size. Owning a number of Casio digital watches, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and ease of use of this Timex Ironman. The Ironman does feel somewhat more "plasticky" that some Casio watches I have, which may influence some buyers. But once you get past that feel, if you like the look of the watch, it's a great offering, especially at a $20 price point. The on the Ironman, a chronograph, a countdown timer, a second time zone, three alarms, 30 lap records, occasion reminders , and a perpetual calendar make it comparable, or better than many of the similarly priced Casio offerings. The Ironman does not feel quite as substantial as some of the lower cost G-Shock offerings I have tried, but is at least as comfy on my 7 1/2 inch wrist. Water resistance seems fine at 100 meters, and the recessed plastic crystal should avoid most scratches. The features should be very useful for those who do not want to wear a smartwatch for training. I hope this review has been helpful.

So far so good

I have had issues with other models/variations of the timex expedition in the past, so I was hesitant to get an even more expensive version of it, but I just really liked this watch so I gave it a shot. I was looking for a new “daily driver” watch as I have a bunch of nicer, more expensive watches that I didn’t want to wear to work at a hospital. I like the solar charging feature for sure as I change my own watch batteries and it can be a pain sometimes. It’s a nice weighty watch, which I like because it feels solid, not cheap. So far it seems to be keeping time well, which is an issue I’ve had with other expeditions in the past. I really like the look of this watch a lot. It’s a sharp looking watch without being too flashy or fancy so it can be worn with just about any attire. I will note that because of the solar feature, it needs to be charged well before setting the time. I placed it under a led light for about 24 hours before setting the time and using it and when I don’t wear it I place it near a window. So far I’m really liking it, but I haven’t had it long enough to really know about long-term reliability. I will update if any issues arise.

Timex Expedition Solar a no frills fine watch

The watch came uncharged. I guess you're supposed to charge the watch by exposing it to sunlight. There was no sunlight and I wasn't about to wait for any. I placed it in front of one of my ultra-bright led flashlights for about 5 hours that night. It's been working fine ever since. I'll expose it to sunlight when I see some. It's a nice looking watch, no bells and whistles but it's been keeping excellent time. I swapped out the band for a NATO which I find more dependable. The price shouldn't put you in the poor house and if it's like all the other Timex watches I've owned, I'll be happy with it.

Great watch. Janky quartz. Bad strap.

It’s got all the specs one could want in a field watch, but I can’t get over the janky quartz movement. The second hand overshoots and undershoots the second markers notably throughout its rotation.
Also, the leather strap provided does not age well, it turns a dark brown and develops cracks in short order.
Still, especially if nabbed on sale, the watch is well worth it and will probably outlive the wearer.
