Die Kellerei Varvaglione Vigne & Vini setzt einerseits bewusst auf die Tradition, zum Beispiel mit sorgfältiger Handarbeit bei der Ernte, andererseits ist der Keller modernst eingerichtet mit innovativer Technik, um die Weine möglichst schonend zu keltern. Ihr Papale stammt aus dem apulischen Mandurien und der qualitativ überragenden DOC für Primitivo. Er ist in seiner charaktervollen und balancierten Art ein perfekter, würzig-temperamentvoller Botschafter Süditaliens. Die Trauben des Papale reifen in den ältesten Weingärten von Vigne & Vini. Durch sehr geringe Erträge pro Hektar sind die Weine dieser Lage sehr konzentriert. Der Primitivo Papale wird für mindestens 8 Monate in Barrique ausgebaut Farbe: Dunkles Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen. Duft/Geschmack: Intensiv nach reifen Früchten (Kirschen, Johannisbeeren). Dabei weich und samtig mit einer ausgewogenen Struktur und aromatischem, langanhaltendem Abgang. Auszeichnungen: Goldmedaille 22. Berliner Weintrophy
