Jetzt genießen oder bis zu 20 Jahre lagern. Eine halbe Stunde vor dem Servieren dekantieren. Im Jahr 1999 übernahm der 22-jährige Stéphane Usseglio die Leitung der Domaine Raymond Usseglio. Dieses Weingut ist eine echte Institution im Rhonetal und wurde offiziell 1964 von Stéphanes Eltern Raymond und Danielle gegründet. Das Weingut bezieht seine Trauben hauptsächlich aus der Appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape, wo insgesamt 18 Hektar Rebfläche bewirtschaftet werden. Es werden unterschiedliche Herstellungsverfahren angewandt, um eine große Auswahl an Cuvées zu erhalten, von der Gärung im Betontank bis hin zu Tonamphoren. Stéphane hat die Umstellung des Weinguts auf biodynamischen Anbau vorangetrieben, und seit 2015 ist die Domaine Raymond Usseglio vollständig biozertifiziert. "La Part des Anges" ist eine von der Rebsorte Mourvedre geprägte Rotweinkomposition mit einem üppigen, rauchigen Bouquet von Zedernholz, Lakritze und Veilchen. Die Holz- und Gewürznoten, die in der Nase besonders ausgeprägt sind, stammen von der Reifung in neuen Eichenfässern. Der Anteil an Grenache beträgt 20 %, der an Syrah 10 %. Am Gaumen ist er fruchtig und lebendig, mit Noten von Roten Johannisbeeren, Preiselbeeren und schwarzem Steinobst wie Pflaumen. Im Finish finden sich Anklänge von Zitrusfrüchten und Salinen. "La Part des Anges" passt hervorragend zu würzigen Gemüsespeisen wie gefüllten Paprikaschoten, marokkanischer Tagine oder auch zu einem einfachen gegrillten Steak.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
