Das Spiel verwendet schwarze und weiße Markierungsstifte zur Rückmeldung – schwarz zeigt eine richtige Farbe an der richtigen Position, weiß eine richtige Farbe an einer falschen Position. Die Spieler wechseln ihre Rollen meist über mehrere Runden und sammeln Punkte, basierend darauf, wie schnell sie den Code entschlüsseln.
