Band des gut eingeführten Jahrbuchs für Technikgeschichte bringt wieder viel aus der Zeit der glorreichen Jenaer Industrie vergangener Jahre: Die Geschichte der Polarisationsmikroskope, Otto Eppensteins revolutionäre Erfindung eines Messgerätes für große Längen, sowie einen Bericht über die Geschichte der Entdeckung zahlreicher Planetoiden mit dem weltgrößten Schmidt-Teleskop in Tautenburg bei Jena. Weitere Aufsätze betreffen den Nachweis schwächster Lichtquellen in der Astronomie, Konstruktionsprobleme besonderer Schwierigkeit, die Geschichte der Glocken in Jena, Apolda und Umgebung, die Versuche in Brandenburg optisches Glas zu erschmelzen und neue Erkenntnisse über die Geschichte der Zeissschen Kleinplanetarien.
