Besonderheiten: Dieser seltene Single Malt Whisky wurde 1991 in der legendären Lochside Distillery destilliert und 2023 von Gordon & MacPhail im Rahmen der Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength Serie abgefüllt. Die Reifung erfolgte in einem Refill Bourbon Barrel, was zu einer limitierten Auflage von nur 57 Flaschen führte. Jede Flasche ist einzeln nummeriert und wird in einer edlen Holzbox präsentiert. Die Lochside Distillery, einst in Montrose gelegen, ist heute nicht mehr in Betrieb, was diesen Whisky zu einem begehrten Sammlerstück macht.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Einladende Aromen von reifen Früchten, begleitet von subtilen Vanille- und Eichenholznoten.
  • Gaumen: Vollmundig und ausgewogen mit einer harmonischen Kombination aus süßen Malznoten und würzigen Akzenten.
  • Abgang: Lang und wärmend, mit einem anhaltenden Nachklang von Eiche und einem Hauch von Rauch.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Lochside Distillery wurde 1957 in Montrose, Schottland, gegründet und produzierte sowohl Malt- als auch Grain-Whiskys. Nach mehreren Besitzerwechseln wurde die Produktion 1992 eingestellt und die Distillery 2005 abgerissen. Gordon & MacPhail ist ein renommierter unabhängiger Abfüller, bekannt für die Auswahl und Abfüllung seltener und hochwertiger Whiskys.
