Wie der Name vermuten lässt stammt das Happy Traveler vom Channel Islands Happy ab. Im Vergleich zum Original ist die Outline im Tail schmaler und paralleler, das Concave reduziert und etwas Volumen nach vorne gewandert. Dadurch sitzt das Boards satter in der Welle und gleitet besser an. Die vorderen Finnen sind im Vergleich etwas zum Rail gewandert, um mehr Halt in der Wand zu gewährleisten. Das Happy Traveler kann entweder ein paar Inch länger als Dein normales Shortboard (aber mit ähnlichem Volumen) geordert als Gut-Wellen-Shortboard dienen, oder aber gleich ein gutes Stück länger und mit einigen Extra-Litern bestellt werden, wenn es als klassisches Step-Up fungieren soll.

SurferIn und Bedingungen:
Das Happy Traveler richtet sich eher an erfahrene Surfer, die ein Brett für druckvolle, solide Wellen suchen. Wenn am Anchor Point in Marokko große Lines rein rollen oder in Uluwatu perfekte Zylinder brechen, kannst Du Dich auf das Board verlassen und Deine Grenzen pushen.

Alternativen
Für Intermediates, die ein nutzerfreundliches und maximal paddelfreudiges Surfboard für gute Wellen suchen, ist das Quiver Killer von Lost sicher die bessere Wahl.
