* Nanna Ditzel war gelernte Kunsttischlerin in einer kunstinteressierten Familie. Sie studierte an der Kopenhagener Kunstgewerbeschule und der Königlich Dänischen Kunstakademie bei Kaare Klint. Mit ihrem ersten Mann, dem Architekten Jørgen Ditzel, eröffnete sie ein Designstudio in Hellerup, wo sie Möbel für kleine Wohnungen entwarfen. Später weitete sie Ihr Schaffen auf alle Bereiche des Industriedesigns aus.
