The biggest complaint appeared to be that these sponge holders do not stay attached to the sink. The reviews for this particular holder were great. Customers stressed cleaning the suction cups and sink before using. I am really glad they did because holder arrived in the packaging with zero instructions. Because I read the reviews I knew what to do and it worked! I am very pleased with this sponge holder. It is attractive, it feels really sturdy and it stays on the side of stainless steel sink just fine.

That's really not the products fault so I won't subtract the score because of it. Also, I decided to put the holder flush against the side closest to me, instead of the side or the back of the sink. If I had chosen that location, the brush sticking out might not be an issue.

But the suction on this sucker (pun intended) is top notch! It doesn't slide around or come off or slide to the bottom of the sink. It just stays put which is so unique for anything with suction cups. The only reason i am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is quite small. I wish it were a few inches longer so i could easily fit two rags or sponges in the holder. But i have to jam them in and its not pretty. So for the price, i think it should have been bigger. Still a good product because of the functionality of the suction cups.

                                                                  When I first received it and placed it on, it continued to fall so I almost returned it. However, I found a method online that worked and it has not fallen since even after all the water and soap getting near it. I’ve placed it on a stainless steel sink so not sure if the method works on other surfaces. Clean the area with soap and water and then make sure there’s no soap residue. Make the water temperature hot and “heat up” both the steel surface and the suction. While it’s still wet, firmly place the suction and make sure it doesn’t move. That should do the trick!
