Anhand von rund 150 Werken von den Alten Meistern bis in die Gegenwart zeigen Ausstellung und Katalog, dass »Illusion« weit mehr bedeutet als bloße Augentäuscherei. Angesichts der Macht illusionistischer Bilder und aktueller Debatten um »Fake News« und Künstliche Intelligenz werfen sie auch ein Schlaglicht auf die bildgesättigte Gesellschaft von heute. Mittels einführender Essays untersucht der Katalog die unterschiedlichen Facetten des Begriffs Illusion und stellt die epochenübergreifenden Exponate der Ausstellung in ihrem Entstehungskontext vor. Jan Baptist Weenix trifft dabei auf Ron Mueck oder Elmgreen & Dragset, Jean-Léon Gérôme auf Cindy Sherman. Literarische Exzerpte und Zitate etwa von Ovid, William Shakespeare, André Breton, Bertolt Brecht oder Jean Baudrillard verdeutlichen die Interdisziplinarität des Themas.Shipping Notes

Comfort and fashion collide

These platform mules meet the following three criteria points: fashionable, comfortable, and affordable. I wear them all day thanks to the great arch support. In fact, I have three pairs in multiple colors. I normally wear a 7.5 but sized down to 7 after trying a 7 and 8.

Nice looking, quality is iffy 🤷🏻♀️

Love the look of these, nice and comfortable, or so I thought. I wore them for the first time yesterday and they rubbed the top of my foot. I hate that they are lined in a fabric that causes friction. I kept them because I loved the look of them, but, in all honesty I think they are expensive for the quality. My right shoe has scrub marks on the leather :-(
