Der VETUS ILT ist ein innovativer Inspektionsdeckel mit Flansch-in Ring-Design, dieses ermöglicht das einfache Öffnen, auch nachdem der Deckel lange Zeit verschlossen war.
Die Inspektionsöffnung hat einen Gegenflansch mit Gummidichtung welche in eine 159mm Öffnung im Tank eingesetzt wird. Alles was Sie nun noch tun müssen, ist die vier mitgelieferten Montageschrauben anzuziehen.
Das „Klemmen-und Dichten“ Prinzip vereinfacht den Einbau enorm, somit ist hierbei die Hauptaufgabe lediglich ein 159mm Loch in den Tank zu bohren. Da der zum dichten benötigte Druck lediglich auf dem äußeren Ring liegt, muss beim Öffnen nicht gegen die Reibung an gearbeitet werden.

Der ILT erfüllt nicht nur die Mindestanforderungen nach ISO/FDIS 21487: “Dieseltanks müssen über ein Inspektionsluk von mindestens 120mm Durchmesser verfügen. Diese müssen an geeigneten Stellen angebracht sein, um eine Reinigung und Wartung, bis zum tiefsten Punkt des Tanks durchführen zu können“, darüber hinaus können alle anderen Anschlüsse verbleiben wie sie sind.

Most of the time, I am in a locale so noisy, it doesn't matter. They want a jeweler to change the battery, which, as a guy who fixes stuff, I don't love, but I've got some time before I think about that. No pun intended. I'm happy with this purchase. Good for the jobsite or a hot date with my wife.

On the first, suspecting the battery was prematurely drained, I took it to the jeweler to get a new battery. He said there was nothing wrong with the battery. I was within the warranty period for the second watch. When I inquired, I was told that it meant shipping the watch overseas for about 3 months to be fixed. Wow. So in reality, it's a disposable item that is not likely to work as long as warranted, much less several years. Time to find another brand.
