Die studierte Soziologin sucht nach jenen beeindruckenden und magischen Orten, an denen Familien seit Generationen zusammentreffen und an denen sich das Leben selbst in ein Haus »eingegraben« zu haben scheint. Sehr bedeutsam ist auch de Maars ungewöhnliche Behandlung des Lichts – ihre Fotos sind wahre Meisterwerke des Helldunkels.In sechs Jahren und auf fünf Reisen nach China formte sich eine substanzielle Serie. Während in vielen chinesischen Städten riesige Wohngebiete abgerissen wurden, um Platz für die neue Zeit und deren Lebensweisen zu machen, entdeckte de Maar eine noch überraschend große Bandbreite an Typen und Nutzungsweisen klassischer Wohngebäude. Erstmals wird hier der heimelige, althergebrachte Charakter chinesischer Haushalte und deren ganze kulturelle Vielfalt direkt vor Augen geführt.

Fabulous product for makeup removal

I love this. I use a good squirt, massage into skin, including onto eyelids and lashes, then wet my hands, and massage into face further, which creates some suds. Then I use a disposable washcloth. I make it wet and wipe it all off. The makeup comes right off my face, including mascara, and my face feels soft and not dry at all afterwards. I’m on my second bottle.

Melts Makeup Off
