Es erscheint nahezu unmöglich, sie zu motivieren, weil sie offensichtlich zu nichts Lust haben. Ihre "Null-Bock-Haltung" macht sie fast unerreichbar. Konzentrationsstörungen treten in der Regel beim Erbringen von Schulleistungen auf. Die Jugendlichen selbst klagen in Regel gar nicht über Aufmerksamkeitsprobleme. Vielmehr sind es Eltern und Lehrkräfte, die solche Defizite bei Hausaufgaben, im Unterricht und im Alltag beobachten. Mögliche Ursachen für Konzentrationsstörungen können beim Jugendlichen selbst vor allem kognitive Faktoren sein - das heißt, Jugendliche, die im Unterricht überfordert und vielleicht nicht so begabt sind, zeigen häufig Konzentrationsstörungen, um vielleicht auch den an sie gestellten Anforderungen zu entgehen. Aber auch die Lebensweise, ihre Perspektivlosigkeit und der Einfluss Gleichaltriger bei häufig geringer sozialer Kompetenz spielen hier eine große Rolle. Ungünstige Unterrichts- und ungeschickte Umgangsformen, langweilige Unterrichtsstunden verstärken das Desinteresse vieler Jugendlicher. Dabei zeigen sich sowohl in der Schule als auch zuhause zwei Erscheinungsbilder: flüchtig arbeitende und trödelnde Schüler.Das Marburger Konzentrationstraining für Jugendliche eignet sich für beide Gruppen. Dabei wird von vornherein Wert darauf gelegt, dass es sich um ein Training (in Anlehnung an den Sport) und nicht um eine "Therapie" handelt. Das Training ist eine Kurzintervention und dauert nur wenige Stunden. Jugendliche sollen erst gar nicht das Gefühl haben, in irgendeiner Form "krank" zu sein und von daher eine - wie auch immer geartete - "Therapie" zu benötigen.Jede Trainingsstunde hat in der Regel zwei bis vier Arbeitsphasen. Die Trainingsmaterialien orientieren sich am Geschmack von Jugendlichen und sollen bei ihnen Motivation auslösen. Dabei stellt die Arbeitsbereitschaft von Jugendlichen das größte Problem bei der Gestaltung eines solchen Trainings dar. Auch hier enthält die Trainingsmappe gezielte Vorschläge und methodische Hinweise aus der Praxis, die eine Durchführung erleichtern. Der Trainingsvorschlag orientiert sich an der Methode der verbalen Selbstinstruktion. Sie ist wissenschaftlich vielfach überprüft und eignet sich auch für Jugendliche mit Aufmerksamkeitsproblemen. Die Selbstinstruktionen während einer Aufgabenlösung beinhalten zusätzliche Anweisungen zur Aufgabenanalyse, Materialanalyse, Zielanalyse, Aufforderung zum Zeitlassen, Formulierung von Teilzielen, Konfliktanalyse, Bewältigung von Frustration und Misserfolg, Bewertung von Ergebnissen und Selbstbekräftigung in einem Rahmen, wie Jugendliche es zulassen. They do lose their shape a little over time (like I said, she always has a ball in her mouth) they become a little oval in shape. My Dachshunds Love These

These balls are durable, flexible material, highly chewable without being easily destroyed. I stuff them with Milkbone Maro Snacks, which are just the right size to twist into the holes in the ball. My dogs literally get an hour+ chewing and chasing entertainment from these. They chew them, they sometimes 'pop' out of their mouths, go rolling across the floor, dogs chasing them. This satisfies their urge to hunt prey. Dachshunds can easily tear this kind of stuff-it-toy apart. These have lasted for a long time without tearing or shredding. I would NOT recommend them for a dog much larger than a tweenie weenie. They're a bit on the small side and might be swallowed by a larger dog. It would be cool it they also came in a larger size (and probably ball wall thickness also) for the bigger dogs to enjoy. These stuff-it chew balls are better than the kong balls my dogs had before these. Highly recommend them.

Great dog balls at a great price

The balls are a favorite for my dog. I could have done without the hole through the middle because I don't do treats in balls anyway. My dog loves balls for their own merit. I needed replacement balls for my Nerf Dog Ball launcher. It seems the originals have disappeared from the market. I took a chance because the price is right and this Chuck-it ball works very well so we're liking this ball a lot. So far my Dachsund, who can destroy a tennis ball (the kind they are selling as Nerf Dog replacements) in 3 minutes has not done any damage to this one so that's a win. I recommend this as a much better ball than the fuzzy tennis balls. I like the colors too since many dog toys are green (which gets lost in the lawn, etc.) or red (even though dogs have red/green color blindness. Blue and orange are good and pretty easy to find. I liked these well enough that this set was my second purchase so I will have spares in case the others are lost.
