Die Vorfahren der Familie Strømeng brachten die Schmiedekunst im 18. Jahrhundert nach Karasjok. Seitdem hat die Familie die handwerklichen Traditionen von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben. Heute ist Knivsmed Strømeng eines der wenigen Unternehmen, das Messer für die heutigen Samen herstellt.

Pflege des Sami-Messers
Das Sami-Messer des Messermachers Strømeng kann über Generationen hinweg verwendet werden. Damit Sie lange Freude an Ihrem Messer haben, empfehlen wir Ihnen, einige einfache Tipps zu beachten:


Beim Herausziehen des Messers aus der Scheide diese oben an der flachen Seite zusammendrücken. Dadurch wird verhindert, dass die Scheide aufgeschnitten wird.
Das Sami-Messer besteht üblicherweise aus Kohlenstoffstahl. Daher sollte es niemals in der Spülmaschine gereinigt werden.
Sollte das Messer nach Gebrauch nass oder feucht geworden sein, trocknen Sie die Klinge gründlich ab, bevor Sie es wieder in die Scheide stecken. Dies verhindert Rost. Ölen Sie die Klinge ein, bevor Sie das Messer längere Zeit lagern.
