HISTORIC PROVENANCE

The Wimbledon Desk is influenced by an exceptional Louis XVI period–style desk (ca. 1900–14) designed by Mewès and Davis, prominent in both London and Paris. With its slender baluster legs and intricate details, this piece echoes the refined craftsmanship of the original watercolor over graphite drawing in The Met’s collection. Our reinterpretation captures the essence of this legacy, merging tradition with modern elegance.

Sad the color was so off.
