Gorgeous And Well Made Bag. But Strap Should Allow Some Adjustment
Size: One Size, Color: Hickory Bark Suede, Size: One Size, Color: Hickory Bark Suede
As expected with the premium brand name, this is a high quality leather handbag. In the "Hickory Bark" color, the outer leather is a warm colored medium tan suede which gives the bag a nice western feel. It also feels perfect for autumn. The exterior zipper is a gold toned metal. The inner lining is a light tan color that appears to be a cotton/poly blend with a fine canvas texture. The interior has one zipper pocket and one patch pocket trimmed in leather. This is a medium size bag measuring 14" x 7". The interior of this bag with the 2 pockets, feels spacious, but the bag is structured, so you cannot overstuff it. The strap is also stitched leather and is 1/2 inch wide with a decorative loop on one side. The quality of this bag is evident with the metal exterior zipper, continuous even stitches on all seams and high quality materials throughout. The bag also arrives with a satin Kate Spade storage bag. The only real drawback to this bag is that measuring just 16 inches the shoulder strap is relatively short. I had hoped the "loop" would enable some adjustment, but that is purely decorative. The styling of the bag lends itself to being a shoulder bag, however the bag rides up quite high under your arm when worn on the shoulder. The strap length is perfect when using it as a handbag. The strap is sewn on at the attachment points so there isn't really an option to switch it. I think at this price point, and adjustable strap should have been part of the design.
