Stronger at the Core

The centre pole has gone up to 9mm OD a deliberate upgrade that delivers meaningfully more rigidity under load. The pole hub has been redesigned for a more precise, secure fit, and colour-coded pole feet make setup faster and foolproof, even in poor light or worse weather.

Anchored Down

The guy system has been rebuilt from the ground up. Doubled side guys spread the load more evenly across the flysheet. The Reinforced Guying System go further, attaching directly to the tent structure rather than the fabric, so in serious conditions the stress goes somewhere that can take it. Hypalon hang points complete the system, resisting stretch and degradation where standard fabric loops eventually give.

Enhanced Ventilation

36 distinct door and vent configurations, from fully sealed against driving rain to wide open on a warm evening. The FlexiPorch adds adaptability at the entrance, while the enlarged end vents with double-position opening give you real airflow control without trading away weather protection to get it.

The Thoughtful Bits

A full-length drying line. A lantern hook above the inner. Elasticated corners that stay taut. Zip pullers you can actually grab with gloves on. Reflective eyelet tape so you stop tripping over your own guys after dark. And a footprint that clips directly into the tent, no more loose ends on setup.

Bigger, Better

The SC1 is 28% bigger inside. The SC2 is 26% bigger inside. You'll notice the difference the moment you get in, more floor space, proper headroom, and larger inner vents with double-position opening to keep the air moving.

Good for the Planet

PFC-free fabrics throughout, solution-dyed yarns that fix colour during fibre production rather than in water-heavy dye baths, recycled materials where we can, and eco anodising on the poles, a lower-impact process that cuts chemical waste without compromising finish or durability. Better for the places you're heading.

Great starter Field Watch. Rugged but simple and elegant.
Color: Black/Black/Brown, Color: Black/Black/Brown
I've been wanting to own a field watch for a while. I never got used to smart watches anyway, so I decided to go for a good brand that doesn't cost too much. I decided for this Time Expedition because it gas a good balance between rugged looks, simplicity and elegance. It's perfect for wearing every day, but also great for when you need to dress up as well. If you are planning on getting this watch, be aware that the seconds are tracked on the small dial at the bottom. The large "seconds" hand it's meant for the chonograph feature, so it will sit static at the zero mark until you start the chonograph. You also need to set it up out of the box. It's a simple process to set up the time, the date and reset the small dials in the zero position. The watch came without a manual, but there are plenty of videos on Youtube showing how to set up and use this exact model The band is simple but elegant. It looks like nobuck but it's not really real leather. I can't say how durable it is yet or how long it will look over the time, but Timex is respectable enough so I expect this band to last several months. It can be replaced and there are lots of aftermarket options so I don't worry about this. As other Expedition watches, it also comes with the Indiglo feature. You can activate night mode by pushing down the main button, then the entire face lights up. When using this feature, I noticed that the hands (being white) do not have a good contrast against the lit up face, but you get used to it. The hands themselves are bright under low-light conditions, so you don't really need the Indiglo feature unless you need to see other details from the watch Anyway, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Did not arrive in original packaging, though I do like the watch.
Color: Black/Black/Brown
The watch is great, I love it. I've had it for a week now and it's comfortable, functional, and stylish. However, I'm giving it only 3 stars because of how I received it. It was delivered in a ziplock sleeve with the warranty sheet stuffed in a bubble wrap package. I bought what was described as a new product, but it did not come in the original package, nor owners manual. I had to find the manual from the manufacturer's website in order to set the dang thing!! It begs the question... Did I really receive a genuine Timex timepiece? Either way, so far I'm happy with the product with the exception that the second hand on the stop watch sits about half a click left of noon. I have not yet tested the water resistance, which I'm a little apprehensive about since there seemed to be some sort of light colored lubricant or seal around the crown. I'll have to try it before my time frame for returns has passed. All in all, I would buy it again, just not from amazon fulfillment! UPDATE: I haven't worn the watch in over a year because the crown used to set the time has popped off. Spent no small amount of time trying to find a replacement, but I can't find good measurements for it. Would have to have access to an assortment and go by trial and error.... I guess it still deserves 3 stars?

Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking
Color: Green/Black
I love this watch despite the fact that it is really a toy. I love the look of the watch, I love how lite the weight of the watch is on my wrist, and it really does keep good time if you manage the solar charge properly. Other than looking cool on your wrist, this watch has absolutely no functions other than time keeping. The black plastic bezel is molded into the case and does not turn, so don't plan on using that. The watch has no light, the dial numbers are non-luminous and the hands are very limited in terms of luminosity. No buttons. All you can do is adjust the time and date by pulling out what used to be a winding stem in the good old days. The small tag on the strap with Geographic coordinates shown on it indicate the location of the old Timex manufacturing facility (SW of Waterbury, CT). I have a nice ledge at my bedroom window and it gets good western sun for a good part of the day regardless of the time of year. On this ledge you will find a half dozen solar powered watches (mostly Casio) properly aligned to maximize the charge they may receive each day. Note that the description for this Timex watch specifically states that a lightbulb won't charge this watch. You need direct sunlight for several hours if you want to get more than a 3-week charge into this watch. So, I'll leave you with a couple of tips, my friends; 1.) If you are looking for a first watch to give your outdoorsy oriented Son or Daughter, then give them this one. Why? Because it is cool looking, fairly well built, and it actually works, 2.) After you receive your Timex watch, be sure to keep the display mount it is packaged with. It makes a great fixture to mount your watch on for charging and allows you to maximize the position of the solar cells on the dial so that you can optimize charging time. Have Fun! Jimmy

Excellent value, flawless performance for well over a year and no signs of quitting.
Color: Green/Black
Excellent value, had this for well over a year and it still keeps perfect time, still water resistant. No worries about having to change batteries. Owned a fancy expensive (battery) watch once and the dept. store repair intentionally sabotaged the watch in the hopes I would purchase another from them. Yeah, good luck with that, lost my business forever. This is the 21st century, cell phones are the new time pieces, but solar is totally reliable and Timex makes it happen. Holds a charge for many months, although I prop it in a bright window for a few days every few months or so just to make sure the cells are always fully charged, although it's probably unnecessary, just being over cautious. I haven't actually experienced this watch ever running out of power even after months of use. Damn impressive, as it should be.

Good value for solar watch
Color: Black/Orange
Nice watch! It is plastic like but it is solar. No indiglo button only a little luminous on the hands so you don't want to wear it in tje dark and expect to check the time. 45mm case is good size for my wrist and the band works good also, Not too long not too short. Overall a good watch with no problems
