You’ll scout unknown hexes, uncovering terrain like asteroids, nebulae, and new planets while pushing your empire’s borders outward. From there you develop colonies, tap resources, and build up merchant shipping to fuel a growing war machine. Production then shifts into overdrive as you design and deploy fleets from multiple classes of warships and invest in dozens of technology levels, from carriers and fighters to cloaking, mines, and dreadnoughts. Simple, chart-free combat keeps engagements quick while rewarding smart fleet composition and timing. A suite of solitaire, head-to-head, and multiplayer team scenarios allows you to tune play length from quick sessions to full evening campaigns, with many phases resolving simultaneously to keep downtime low.
