Cadmium Pigments
Cadmium pigments are brilliantly coloured, with good permanence and tinting power. Cadmium yellow, orange and red have become familiar artists’ colours. The yellows were first used by artist’s in the 1840. Claude Monet’s famous yellow hues for example are painted in cadmium.
