ECS Tuning Big Bore Turbo Inlet Pipe For ECS Intake Systems - MK8 GTI

All too often OEM components sacrifice performance in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of customers. While an enthusiast typically wants better boost response and more power, all while hearing the turbocharger breathe, a non-enthusiast may give up these characteristics for a quieter ride. In the case of the factory turbo inlet pipe, mounted between the compressor housing and air intake hose, its purpose is to channel air from the inlet hose into the turbocharger inlet, all while reducing engine bay acoustics and sacrificing quality materials in favour of cheap moulded plastic material. With the ECS MK8 GTI Cast Turbo Inlet Pipe, the factory inlet pipe is removed and replaced with our straight-through, cast aluminium inlet. This eliminates the cheap plastic unit that was installed from the factory that can deform or even crack over time due to engine bay temps and heat cycles.

• 89mm opening - 23mm larger than the stock 66mm inlet!

• Inlet Elbow is made from cast aluminium for maximum airflow capacity, durability and is designed to work in perfect harmony with the ECS Tuning intake system 

• Compressor Inlet Flange is machined after casting to create a bellmouth inlet design for smooth air entry into the compressor housing. The CNC inlet flange also features OEM mounting holes, as well as using your factory O-ring for perfect fit and seal for precision fitment within the compressor housing. 

• Cast mounting tabs retain compatibility with the OEM locating fastener and its mounting location.
