The FLEXmax family of charge controllers is the industry leading innovation in Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge controllers from OutBack Power. The innovative FLEXmax MPPT software algorithm is both continuous and active, increasing your photovoltaic array power yield up to 30% compared to non-MPPT controllers. Thanks to active cooling and intelligent thermal management, the FLEXmax 60 can operate at its full 60 amp maximum current rating in ambient temperatures as high as 104°F (40°C). Included are revolutionary features first developed by OutBack Power, including support for a wide range of nominal battery voltages and the ability to step down a higher-voltage solar array to recharge a lower-voltage battery bank. A built-in, backlit 80 character display shows the current status and logged system performance data for the last 128 days at the touch of a button. The integrated OutBack Power network communications allow FLEXmax series charge controllers to be remotely programmed and monitored using the MATE family of system displays, providing unrivaled complete system integration.

Key Features & Benefits

60A Continuous MPPT Charging: Provides reliable, high-current charging for medium to large solar systems with active cooling that maintains full output up to 104°F (40°C).

Increases PV Output by up to 30%: Advanced continuous maximum power point tracking algorithm maximizes energy harvest from your solar array compared to non-MPPT controllers.

Wide Battery Voltage Range (12-60VDC): Supports 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V, or 60VDC battery banks from a single model, selectable via field programming at start-up.

Voltage Step-Down Capability: Step down current from any acceptable array voltage to any battery voltage (e.g., 72VDC array charging a 24VDC battery, or 60VDC array charging a 48VDC battery).

High Efficiency: Power conversion efficiency of 97.5% typical with peak efficiency of 98.44%, maximizing system performance and reducing energy loss.

150VDC PV Open Circuit Voltage Limit: Absolute maximum 150VDC (145VDC start-up and operating maximum), allowing for flexible array configurations.

Built-In Data Logging: Stores 128 days of operational data including amp-hours, kilowatt-hours, time in float, max PV voltage, max/min battery voltage, absorb time, and accumulated kWh of production.

Backlit LCD Display: 3.1-inch backlit LCD screen with 4 lines and 80 characters total shows current status and logged performance data at the touch of a button.

Programmable Auxiliary Control Output: 12VDC output signal that can be programmed for various control applications (maximum 0.2A).

Remote Monitoring and Control: Integrated OutBack Power network communications allow remote programming and monitoring using MATE family system displays (optional).

Battery Temperature Compensation: Automatic charging voltage adjustment with optional Remote Temperature Sensor (RTS).

Adjustable Charging Regulation: Bulk, absorption, float, silent, and equalization charging modes with programmable voltage setpoints.

ETL Listed: Certified to UL1741 and CSA C22.2 No. 1071 for North American installations.

Standard 5-Year Warranty: Extended 10-year warranty available.

Great story and illustrations!
I purchased this book as a Christmas present for my toddler nephew and it became his favorite new book of the year! I had read the story randomly in a store some years ago as the title, awards, and cover illustration caught my eye. Growing up as a 90s kid, I cannot recall being exposed to a variety of diverse books especially ones that take place in the city and Last Stop on Market Street stuck with me. It depicts the city life well, how for some the only transportation is the bus, and the value of community by giving your time to help and connect with others. The illustrations are beautifully done and the story captures both CJ's imaginations and observations wells. My brother especially loved how wise CJ's grandmother is as she guides him during their journey and teaches him at a young age how to help those in need.

A beautifully written and illustrated story about a young boy and his Nana and their loving spirit they share with others
Format: Hardcover
This is a simple, but beautiful story with heart. It is told by a little boy who apparently lives with his Nana. The illustrations are scenes painted in brilliant colors. C.J., the boy has many questions to ask his Nana, like why they have to ride the bus or always to do the same thing every Sunday? Nana patiently and gently answers every question and helps C.J. to open his eyes and his mind to the beauty around him. This book teachers children compassion and to look for good and beauty in people and their surroundings. It models empathy for those who have less than one has. Nana has a lovely spirit and great wisdom. She makes one feel that she is a lady one would like to know. Nana teaches the joy of giving back to others. This is a book I will read again and again.

Wonderful depiction of the city & finding gratitude
Format: Hardcover
I bought this book after moving my young family from SF to a very homogeneous suburb. Rode MUNI with my kids & at the time didn’t realize how diversity is taught passively when it’s all around you. Fast forward, my kiddo makes a comment in preschool that shocks me & realize that she’s now in such a bubble. This book is clearly nostalgic for me, but for my kids it’s a chance to talk about all the different lives people live. A chance to talk about race, culture, homelessness, privilege (riding the bus instead of a car, not having a music player), people with disabilities, etc. To those who choose to post about the grammar In this book, good authors work very hard on depicting dialects, which are 100% a part of one’s culture. Take the opportunity to discuss the diversity that exists in language too. My goodness, white people from Boston add & delete Rs like crazy (Cubar instead of Cuba, ca’ instead of car). 🙃
