Procured by a passionate and talented gemologist whom we work in close partnership with, he was fortuitous to acquire this crown jewel while in Pakistan on a gem-buying trip. The Swat Valley is Pakistan's emerald-producing mine, however, gem-quality emeralds are nearly always less than a carat in size. Superior quality Swat emeralds in larger carat sizes are almost non-existent, an anomaly of the Swat mine. Bright verdant green and eye-clean, this 2.44ct Swat emerald is a miracle of nature.
