Product Overview

In nature, silicon carbide exists in the form of the extremely rare mineral carbosilicate, which is a covalent compound consisting of silicon and carbon atoms. It is a covalent compound consisting of silicon and carbon atoms. At the same time, silicon carbide is the only binary compound semiconductor consisting of only two elements from group IVA. Silicon carbide has high hardness, high thermal stability and high thermal conductivity, and these special properties are mainly determined by its crystal structure. The basic unit of the crystal structure of silicon carbide is a tetrahedron composed of Si and C atoms, with each tetrahedron centred on a C (or Si) atom surrounded by four Si (or C) atoms, with the atomic orbitals of the central atoms sp3 hybridised, and with Si and C covalently bonded to each other. From a crystallographic point of view, silicon carbide crystals are formed by the close-packed stacking of these Si-C tetrahedral units, and the close-packed surface formed by the Si and C tetrahedra can be regarded as the result of the continuous stacking of the Si and C double atomic layers. Under different physical and chemical conditions (pressure, temperature, etc.), silicon carbide can form up to 200 types of crystals, each of which has a different morphology, structure, and physical properties, which is commonly referred to as the phenomenon of homogeneous polymorphs, and each crystal is called a different homogeneous polymorph. Among the more than 200 polymorphs discovered so far, there are mainly three lattice structures: sphalerite, feldspathic zincite and rhombic. SiC with a cubic structure is usually referred to as β-SiC (XFJ30 is cubic silicon carbide), while SiC with hexagonal and rhombic structures is called α-SiC.

Product Features

High thermal conductivity: silicon carbide nanopowder has a high thermal conductivity, which makes it have excellent performance in high temperature environments.

Low coefficient of thermal expansion: Its low coefficient of thermal expansion helps to reduce stress and deformation due to temperature changes.

High mechanical properties: silicon carbide nano powder has high strength and high hardness, between corundum and diamond.

Chemical stability: It has good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and can maintain stability in harsh chemical environments.

Wear resistance: Silicon carbide nanopowder has excellent wear resistance and is suitable for materials requiring high durability.

Application Fields

Coatings and paints: Due to its wear resistance and corrosion resistance, SIC nanopowders are widely used in coatings and paints to increase wear resistance and durability.

Automotive, chemical and oil drilling: In these industries, sic nanopowders are widely used due to their high thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal expansion.

Radar and high temperature radiation environment: Due to its excellent thermal properties and chemical stability, SIC nanopowders also have important applications in radar and high temperature radiation environment.

Advanced refractories and specialty ceramics: Silicon carbide nanopowders are used to manufacture advanced refractories and specialty ceramics to improve their high temperature and wear resistance.

Grinding materials and reinforcement materials: In grinding materials and reinforcement materials, silicon carbide nanopowders are widely used because of their high hardness and wear resistance.

Spectrum field: In spectrum applications, silicon carbide nanopowders are used to manufacture high-performance optical devices, ultraviolet spectrometers, high temperature spectrum measurement equipment, etc.

Supercapacitor electrode materials: Silicon carbide nanomaterials and their derived carbon are considered to be very promising supercapacitor electrode materials due to their high stability and excellent electrical conductivity.

This book will crush infertile couples
Format: Paperback
I don't know how this book has a 5-star review rating. It's poorly researched and lacks any depth on the very subject it's supposed to be dealing with. The first section on Birth-Control just goes on and on about how Children are a Blessing and a Reward from God. And it says in one of the footnotes that the only reason couples shouldn't have kids is if the wife has a medical condition that would make pregnancy life-threatening or they are too old when they got married. Infertility isn't even mentioned. In the section on Infertility, there is NO research on how common it is, what causes it, etc. It's just Infertility is hard on women, and men will never quite understand why. And then on ARTs, they are treated as a guarantee that a couple will have kids if they do the treatment. The one and only stat he cites in this section is on IVF and he clearly read the information wrong. He didn't look to see what the difference is between cycles and transfers and said that IVF has over a 50% success rate in women under 34. That number is way too high and will only cause false hope, and misunderstandings about childless couples. And some of his research was from 2007, making it out of date in this cutting-edge technology.
