A new addition to the collection, but what a find. I found this amp in need of some love. It had been well used but some components had taken a bit of a battering. Recently had it serviced by Marshall at their HQ and its back to its absolute best. Its actually become my favourite Marshall I've ever played - its gainy, squishy, tight, aggressive, upfront - everything you'd want from a Marshall. Its not the best versatile 2204 I've come across, the onset of gain is pretty quick, and the gain pot basically affects how much bright cap you have in the circuit rather than how much gain. For that reason, there are slightly less profiles than usual (it just does its thing). If there is demand I can add some profiles using hot mods and pedals and things.

I would recommend adjusting the dist sens control a little based on your guitar and pickups. Usually for me, around +3 seems to match the response of the amp closest but this will vary for every situation. This amp LOVES your volume and tone control so use them to your advantage with these. Adjusting the range of these controls can get quite a wide variety of tones.
