Widely used in all-grain brewing, it helps verify pre-boil gravity to avoid unnecessary additions of dry malt extract. Because alcohol alters refractive properties, this refractometer is suitable only for unfermented wort or must; final gravity must be calculated or determined with a hydrometer.
Kit includes refractometer, hard case, tiny calibration screwdriver, and pipette for drawing samples.
