This is Volume 7 of SkywaldÕs Nightmare, Reprinting Nightmare 1973 Winter Special, 1974 Yearbook & 1975 Annual. Launched by Golden Age veteran Sol Brodsky and I.W. PublishingÕs pirate reprinter Israel Waldman, Skywald was going to be the next force in comics. The long line of contributors include T. Casey Brennan, Gerry Conway, Steve Englehart, Gardner Fox, Doug Moench, Dave Sim, Len Wein, Marvel Wolfman, Rich Buckler, Gene Day, Vince Colletta, Bill Everett, Bruce Jones, Pablo Marcos, Syd Shores, Chic Stone, Tom Sutton and John Byrne. Unfortunately, this small company could not compete with the power of major distributors of Marvel and DC, being pushed off the newsstands in 1975. The Skywald Stories books are considered to be among THE best in black and white horror magazines of the 1970Õs! Black and White Hardcover.
