Along with a small group of dedicated women in Boston, she produced the first women's liberation journal, No More Fun and Games. Dunbar-Ortiz was also an antiwar and anti-racist activist and organizer throughout the 1960s and early 1970s and a fiery, tireless public speaker on issues of patriarchy, capitalism, imperialism, and racism. She worked in Cuba with the Venceremos Brigade and formed associations with other revolutionaries across the spectrum of radical politics, including the Civil Rights Movement, Students for a Democratic Society, the Revolutionary Union, the African National Congress, and the American Indian Movement. Unlike most of those involved in the New Left, Dunbar-Ortiz grew up poor, female, and part-Native American in rural Oklahoma, and she often found herself at odds not only with the ruling class but also with the Left and with the women's movement. Dunbar-Ortiz's odyssey from Oklahoma poverty to the urban New Left gives a working-class, feminist perspective on a time and a movement that forever changed American society. Greatest Kitchen Item I've Bought in Years

These grinders are awesome. No more tedious grinding, or endless shaking! I love the adjustable grind levels (I like mine fairly coarse), and these hold a charge for a long time - months. My friends are super impressed when they visit, and will probably be buying these too.

Fast and efficient!

These are a very nice set. Our other pair started grinding the salt and pepper as soon as you flipped it over and made a mess. This set here you have to push the button first. Also it is faster at grinding. Recommend!

Who knew laziness could be so rewarding?!

Super happy with this purchase. With the press of a button I have freshly ground salt and pepper...makes a big difference in taste. I appreciate the lighted bottoms which make it easier to see the quantity being dispensed. The charge has lasted a full month so far with near daily use. They are attractive on my counter and the tray they sit in collects the loosened remnants and is very easy to clean.
May give as gifts this year!

Poor Grind Mechanisms

Salt grinder fell apart in 6 weeks. The item looks nice, but the grind settings on both the salt and pepper did not yield truly different grind. They always came out the same size, regardless of setting. About 5 weeks in, the clear plastic bottom came off of the salt grinder. I wasn't even using rock salt, just coarse salt. I could not get the piece back in. Then, the entire grind assembly came out as I was cooking. This item did not even get daily use. I purchased a different brand several years ago, I wish I had purchased that one again. I thought I was getting a good deal based on reviews.
**UPDATED 9/19** Seller made reasonable accommodations to make it right. Very pleased with how this was handled. Stars reflect customer service,
