Stand Tall! Sgt Pops’ Poems for Veterans & Their Friends & Families is a collection of poems written originally for Sgt Pops to understand the feelings he experienced both in and after returning from Vietnam. He wants veterans of all wars to know they’re not alone – that others have the same post-combat or post-military service “demons” to confront.

It is his hope that friends and family members can better understand why veterans seem to have changed so radically from the way they were before serving in the military and especially in combat.

About the Author

Sgt Pops enjoys hunting, fly fishing, and other outdoor activities. He also enjoys helping veterans new to the VA system to feel welcome and help alleviate their concerns and troubles. He currently lives in Spokane Valley, Washington.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.

Funny and unexpected

I bought this book for my girlfriend who is a big Ralph Wiggum fan. When it arrived, I was shocked to see what a thorough exploration of the character it was. I'm not saying it's all canon in terms of the show, as i saw some complaints that there was stuff in this book that wouldn't make sense to the Ralph character (such as his love for Lisa) due to them "breaking up" in a past episode, but come on, that's a hogwash complaint. The whole point of this book is to entertain, and it does so in spades, so it comes highly recommended. And this is coming from a huge 'The Simpsons' fan himself. Oh, and by the way, my girlfriend loved it, too.
