علاقائی تواریخ لکھنے کی روائت زیادہ قدیم نہیں ھے۔انگریزوں نے ڈسٹرکٹ گزیٹئرز مرتب کر کے اس روائت کا آغاز کیا۔قیام پاکستان کے بعد یہ روایت برقرار نہ رہ سکی۔اکا دکا اضلاع کے گزیٹئر ہی مرتب ھو سکے۔2001میں نئے ضلعی نظام کے تحت ضلع حافظ آباد میں سید جاوید محمود پہلے ڈی سی او مقرر ھوئے تو انہوں نے اس میں دلچسپی لی اور ڈسٹرکٹ گزیٹئر شائع ھوا،جس کو مرتب کرنے میں میرا مرکزی کردار رھا۔اسی دوران مجھے ضلع حافظ آباد کے شہروں،قصبات اور تمام دیہات کی تاریخ وتہزیب کو مرتب کرنے کا خیال آیا۔یہ ایک بہت مشکل کام تھا۔اپنے سٹوڈنٹس ،پٹواریوں،دیہات کے نمبرداروں،ٹیچرز،میرزادوں کی وساطت سے مواد جمع کیا۔پھر پنجابی دانشور سید سبط الحسن ضیغم مرحوم کے مشورے سے ضلع کے ہر تھانے میں رجسٹر نمبر 9 تک رسائی حاصل کی،جس کے لئے اس وقت کے ڈی آئی جی گوجرانولہ الطاف قمر صاحب نے خصوصی مدد کی۔اور آخر پر ضلع کے 580دیہات کو خود وزٹ کیا۔یوں تین برسوں کی محنت شاقہ کے بعد یہ کتاب"وسیب"(ضلع حافظ آباد کے شہروں،قصبات اور دیہات کی تاریخ و تہذیب)مرتب ھو سکی۔اس میں ہر شہر اور گاؤں کی وجہ تسمیہ،رقبہ و جغرافیہ ،تاریخ،آبادی،مکانات و دکانات،مساجد،امام بارگاہ،کارخانوں،ماضی و حال کی اہم سیاسی سماجی اور ادبی شخصیات کے تذکرے شامل ہیں۔پاکستان میں یہ کسی ضلع کے تمام شہروں اور دیہات بارے تاریخ کو مرتب کرنے کا یہ منفرد اور پہلا کام ھے۔اس کا پہلا ایڈیشن 2005 میں شائع ھوا تھا۔اب نظر ثانی شدہ ایڈیشن فکشن ھاؤس لاھور سے شائع ھوا ھے۔

This watch was received exactly as advertised. First off the watch is economical compared to other watches that advertise the same details. I will say that I have gone through numerous Luminox watches only to be disappointed. This watch fits the bill. It does have solar cells which mean it needs to be exposed to light to keep running, not a problem. Three minutes under my surefire light I am golden. The bezel doesn't rotate actually no big deal for me. I have always required that the bezel moves not anymore after having a bezel that rotates I use it next to never. Here's why, the more I rotate the bezel the more the numbers wear off. The strap on the watch with the catches for the strap are perfect. They actually hold the watch strap in place in lieu of like other big name brands that just flop and slide. As far as everyday use goes this watch is my go to. To be honest I have purchased three. This is the only watch I will wear moving forward, yeah the glass my scratch but even the big names like the Luminox I spoke of earlier scratches too.
