Hannibal: Enemy of RomeIn the year 216 B. C., Hannibal of Carthage, faced with an opposing Roman army twice the size of his own, outwitted the enemy at Cannae by means of a strategy which has become a classic of its kind. As a result of his famous "double pincer" maneuver, 70,000 Roman soldiers died within the space of a few hours on a field the size of New York's Central Park. In the year 216 B.C., Hannibal of Carthage, faced with an opposing Roman army twice the size of his own, outwitted the enemy at Cannae by means of a strategy which has become a classic of its kind. As a result of his famous "double pincer" maneuver, 70,000 Roman soldiers died within the space of a few hours on a field the size of New York's Central Park. Yet, as devastating and startling as Cannae was, it was only one of a long list of incredible achievements. Hannibal's fantastic 1,000-mile march across the Alps from Spain to Italy was one of the wonders of ancient times. He began his hazardous journey with 90,000 infantry, 12,000 cavalry, and 37 elephants. By the time he reached the Valley of the Po, more than 30,000 troops and many of his elephants had perished, but he still managed to stay in Italy for sixteen years.Blending biography and military adventure, Hannibal is a portrait of a military genius who was also a highly civilized man. The son of Hamilcar Barca, a famous general in his own right, Hannibal was a student of the Greek classics. But his father's lifelong grudge against Rome fostered in the son a deep hatred for that Republic and a fierce determination to subdue it forever. This resulted in the bloody battles of Lake Trasimene, Campania, Nole, Capua, and Zama, all of which Leonard Cottrell describes with vigor and authority. In gathering material for Hannibal, Cottrell traveled the entire route that Hannibal took across the Alps, thus bringing to his account a valuable firsthand knowledge of his subject. With the drama and authenticity for which he is famous, Leonard Cottrell describes Hannibal's amazing campaign-a saga of victory after victory which fell just short of its ultimate goal: the annihilation of Rome.Binding Type: Paperback

The right tool for the job.
Size: One Size, Style: Bottle Opener, Size: One Size, Style: Bottle Opener
This is the tool you want. It is exceptionally functional, well made (made in the USA, if that matters to you), and beautiful in the way that quality tools are. The thing that really sets this tool apart is that it correctly balances form vs. function: a heavy duty build (as is the point when buying a bottle opener built by a tool company) without its use as a bottle opener (as is the point when buying ANY bottle opener) being negatively impacted by said build. I also bought the Craftsman bottle cap wrench, which, in my opinion, is hugely successful as feeling like a heavy duty tool and something of a failure as a bottle opener. It's so large and heavy, it has equal mass to the bottle you're opening. Imagine your buddy who has had one too many wielding a 12 oz. steel wrench over your tile floor, countertop, toes, etc. and you'll get the idea.
Lastly, the engraving and materials on this Klein tool are so attractive I had to build it a custom wall mount instead of hiding it away in a drawer or tool chest. I will be buying a second for the office.

Good Tool
Size: One Size, Style: Bottle Opener
This thing is great at opening bottles, and it has a Klein handle. Perfect for the electrician in your life, even if that's yourself. I had to knock off a star because the handle is not quite as good as other Klein tools. The plastic is not as clear. The TIP-IDENT bottlecap marking is off-center and not fully printed. The bottle opener sticks out at a slight angle. This does not affect the performance, but it does detract from the novelty somewhat.

Great light for hard hat.
Style: 180 Lumens
These lights are perfect for our crew. They mount easily over a hard hat. Our guys are tough on them throwing them in the truck or down on the Jobsite. Very durable and offer good lighting for individual worker. Batteries will last a whole shift.
