یہ ڈاکٹر فرید حسینی کی کتاب ہے ۔ اور انتظار کے افسانوں اور ناولوں کے علامتی کرداروں اور ایجاد علامتوں پر ہے ۔ مجھے تنقید کی کتابوں سے ایک طرح کی کد ہے اور خاص کر پاکستان میں نقاد پروفیسروں کے ہاتھوں لکھی گئی کتابوں سے مگر کبھی کبھی اپنے کسی دوست کی کتاب پڑھنا پرتی ہے ۔ یہ کتاب مَیں نے اِسی حادثے کے پیشِ نظر پڑھنا شروع کی تھی ۔ لیکن پھر یوں ہوا کہ اِس کتاب کی جادو بیانی نے مجھے پکڑ لیا ۔ اگرچہ یہ ایک تنقیدی کام تھا مگر تخلیقی وجود پائے ہوئے تھا ۔ اور مجھے اِس نے متاثر کیا ہے ۔ اصل میں علامتوں کے وجود اور اُن کے بیانیے کا سلیقہ جس پیرائے میں ڈاکٹر فرید حسینی نے اپنی اِس کتاب میں پھیلایا وہ قابلِ لائق ہے ۔ اِس کتاب میں نہ صرف افسانے کی مبادیات پر بات ہوئی ہے بلکہ علامت نے کیسے کردارےوں کے وجود اختیار کیے اور کس زمانے میں کیسے علامتیں عروج پر پہنچیں ، یہاں سب سمجھ آتی ہے ۔ انتظار حسین کو ا،س کتاب سے بہتر داد آج تک نہیں دی گئی ۔ تمام دوستوں کو ا،سے پڑھنا چاہیے خاص طور پر طلبا کو جنھیں افسانے یا علامت کے وجود سے شفا پانی ہے ۔
ڈاکٹر فرید حسینی کا شکر گزار ہوں اُس نے ایک شاندار طریقے سے ملعون علامتوں کو مثبت علامتوں سے الگ کر کے دکھایا ہے یہ کتاب فکشن ہاوس نے لاہور سے چھاپی ہے اور قیمت اِس کی ۵۰۰ ہے

Cute toy that definitely entertains the pups.
These are adorable toys. They make a bit more noise than I expected as they have the crackly ‘stuff’ in the legs. My mastiff made it a whole day without destroying it. This is the first toy that’s survived him for more than 10 minutes, so that’s an endorsement even if it sounds bad. They are a great price for the size. If I were to say I have a wish for them, it’s that the material that makes up their belly was more durable.

The size is great and having squeakers in all tentacles is super for the puppy but had to sew a seam withing one week of having it. Hoping the rest stays together.
