Description

Quantum Electrodynamics - annotated sources. Volume II.This is not a sourcebook in the conventional sense. It is a working document which brings together annotated extracts from 107 primary sources, or translations of them, of the development of quantum electrodynamics, so that it is easier for a researcher to deal with the large volume of material. This is not a sourcebook in the conventional sense. It is a working document which brings together annotated extracts from 107 primary sources, or translations of them, of the development of quantum electrodynamics, so that it is easier for a researcher to deal with the large volume of material. Links to internet copies of the primary documents or alternative sources are provided where available to enable these to be consulted. A summary is provided at the head of each paper and in the Contents. The references in each paper are expanded to include the title (and its translation where relevant), and a copy of the summary where this is available and helpful to avoid unnecessary cross referencing. Biographies of the main contributors are also provided, of which 18 received Nobel Prizes in Physics. The chronological development of the theories of quantum mechanics and quantum electrodynamics constituted an interesting interplay between theory and experiment. Volume I, covering the period from 1896 to 1931 is primarily focused on the development of the largely successful non-relativistic theory of quantum mechanics and quantum electrodynamics. Volume II, covering the period from 1930 up until 1965, when Tomonaga, Feynman, and Schwinger received their Nobel prizes, addresses the attempts to formulate a relativistic quantum electrodynamics, or quantum field theory, for the electron, when the energy of the electron is relativistic, and in particular to address, through a process of renormalization, the still unresolved divergencies arising largely, if not entirely, from the assumption of a point electron.

Nice Watch
Color: 5885 Siver Stainless Steel/hon Dial, Color: 5885 Siver Stainless Steel/hon Dial
Nice watch for the money. I've only had it a week but seems to be keeping good time. From 20 feet away might be mistaken for "Trump Time". The watch design is actually a copy of the Rolex Submariner for a whole lot less money. Several watch companies have copied the Submariner. I removed one link at a time when resizing the band. By the time I got to the final link, the supplied tool wasn't working. I had to remove the final link with a hacksaw and pliers.

DIDN'T LAST LONG
Color: 5885 Gold Stainless Steel/Gold Dial
Bought this in June 2025, and only wore it a few times. Recently noticed the time was "off" and the seconds-hand wasn't moving. I thought it sat too long and needed to be wound up. So, I wound...and wound...and wound. Never met any resistance in the crown during clock-wise winding...just continued to spin freely, and the seconds-hand never moved. It's a pretty-looking time piece, but don't waste your money if you expect it to keep time. 👎

Great watch, terrible resizing tool.
Color: 2926 Silver Stainless Steel/Black Dial
Watch is great, feel heavy, looks beautiful in person. It shines pretty heavily. My main issue is with the resizing tool it comes with. It broke when I tried to use it. Be prepared to buy your own like I did. I can’t say how the fit is yet because I can’t wear it yet. It is not easy to set up.

Stunning Automatic Watch With TopTier Durability and Precision
Color: Grey
“I got this Tissot PRX for my cousin’s birthday and bro fell in LOVE instantly. This thing keeps time like a beast, never slows down, never lags. Automatic movement, so no batteries, no drama. Durability? Stupid good. You can hit it, bump it, live life rough, it still looks box fresh. Size wise it was almost perfect. I just had to remove two links, nothing big. It’s light, functional, comfortable, doesn’t weigh you down, doesn’t get in the way but more importantly I can say this watch is in everyone’s eyesight when we wear it. Cause of course I had to get another one! Basically. I gave him a very nice piece as a gift, and now he’s walking around like he owns Switzerland.
