"An insightful read from one of the ballet world's most beloved married couples "--Melinda Roy, former principal dancer, New York City Ballet "Wonderfully complete and instructive, written by two artists who have lived what they write about and are sharing their life experience from a deep and very human viewpoint. Bravo "--Donald Mahler, former director, Metropolitan Opera Ballet "Perfect for inspiring dancers who want to learn more about the art of partnering."--Lauren Jonas, cofounder and artistic director, Diablo Ballet "An effective and lively resource to add to a dancer and teacher's partnering skills toolkit."--Dean Speer, author of On Technique

Traditionally, the pas de deux was designed as an interlude during longer ballets and showcased a ballerina's skills. The male was a guide to her movements and steps, an unwavering extension of the ballerina. Today the pas de deux occupies a central role in dances and the reliance on a male's strength has given way to endless modifications. Respect, patience, intuition, and awareness are just as significant as technique and the best partners communicate through breath, eye contact, and musical cues.

In Experiencing the Art of Pas de Deux, professional dance couple Jennifer Carlynn Kronenberg and Carlos Miguel Guerra demystify the physical, emotional, and artistic intricacies that allow two to dance as one. They examine key components often overlooked in classes and textbooks, such as how to build and maintain the connections necessary for a trusting and successful team. Illuminating pas de deux work from both male and female perspectives, they detail the specific responsibilities of each partner. Step-by-step instructions are provided for proper posture, lifts, promenades, turns, and even dance conditioning--and QR code-accessible videos provide brief demonstrations of new and complex movements. Each chapter also includes personal anecdotes, offering a rare and intimate look at how partners can support one another and discover the inner workings of the finest and most memorable dances.

Jennifer Carlynn Kronenberg is a former principal dancer with the Miami City Ballet. She has conducted master classes for Ballet Chicago and Ballet de Monterrey, among other companies and schools. She is the author of So, You Want to Be a Ballet Dancer? Carlos Miguel Guerra is a former principal dancer with the Miami City Ballet. He studied and worked with Fernando Alonso in Cuba, Ivan Nagy in Chile, and Edward Villella in Miami.

Definitely a comfort read
Format: Kindle
Just a comfy cozy nice long read. While this is definitely a SLOOOOOOOOWWWWW burn, this is how you do RH right; a nice long novel where you actually get to know the characters so you can feel more connected to them & the story, not to mention getting enough time to actually remember all their names haha. & they are all consent kings. Also I do so love me some double omega OV, siiiigh (heart eyes). I wish there had been juuust a bit more spice, like maybe just between Elias & others before MC was ready (made Elias feel a bit underdone or gimmicky without it), I did love this read. Low stress, comfy read. It could've used another round of editing for some minor errors & type issues but it wasn't bad enough to pull ne out of the story. Though I did giggle at 'knecks', thinking kuh-necks in my head. Overall I'd say 9/10

beautiful story
Format: Kindle
I absolutely love this book, however there is quite a bit repetition! The storyline makes up for it, a just skipped them. I like that this was a cozy read, it’s an omegaverse romance, but really barely read as OV, you get a little hierarchy and scent blockers, but if not for that you wouldn’t know. I love the romance aspect however, they take there time and move at her pace! A good read, with some errors, hopefully there is more to come!!

I loved the concept of the story but it went no where painfully slow! There was so much repetition that I skimmed and only paid attention whenever I saw quotation marks. I need...yes we know what you need....said 125 times grew frustrating and tiresome! And what does progressive mean in this boom? There are 3 alphas and 2 omegas...is that different or is it bc of the 3 alphas and Lucian was the really alpha one. The sex was very disappointing too....very G rated in my spice level. There is no epilogue and I think it was like 80 something chapters! I should have read the reviews but the sample got me good! What does soren do for a living? Are the men sexual w eachother bc they did not show that in this story if you are worried about that. It was jus so painstakingly slooowwwwww!!! I get why but dang! Just beware g rated and slow paced w alot of repetition!

It's great but be warned...
Format: Kindle
I enjoyed the idea of this story. I really did! The story was great, the characters were great, and I had a decent enough time reading. I did however, find myself forcing myself to finish this and skimming through a lot of the series. The pacing was slow which is fine, but it was repetitive. Every single conversation Lydia had with these men always had to have some deeper meaning. Even when I thought there would be a light hearted reprieve, it always ended with another lecture or bit of advice. It felt like I was watching her interact with her multitude of therapists than men she was being courted by. I understand this was a path of healing for her but it got very old very fast. It felt excessive in every way to me and this aspect never changed throughout the entire story. Imagine reading an overly inspirational self help book where they tried to make it interesting by throwing in romance? Which again, could work in many cases but it was so excessive to me. That being said, I still think it was a great story and I think everyone should give this a chance!

Absolutely perfect
Format: Kindle
All of the characters are so expertly developed. They all support Lydia with unwavering understanding while she slowly opens up. I liked that the main conflict wasn’t between the pack and it instead pulled them closer together. This is honestly such a perfect feel good cozy omegaverse. There were some typos sprinkled through out but not enough to be irritating.
