The Rat IFABP/FABP2 (Intestinal Fatty Acid Binding Protein) ELISA immunoassay kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat IFABP/FABP2. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat IFABP/FABP2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat IFABP/FABP2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat IFABP/FABP2. You can calculate the concentration of Rat IFABP/FABP2 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

II like the flavor (peppermint) and that is is a healthier option for tooth paste - BUT - the cap and tube needs redesigning. The cap is hard to screw on most of the time flying onto the counter or the floor and also easy to confuse which end to screw on if you're not paying attention as one end is to puncture the end of the tube to get the paste out and the other to cover the tube after use. The tube is too hard to get all the product out and to roll because I believe it is made of metal instead of plastic which is good but not so good. This is already very expensive and you cannot get all the toothpaste out. The cons are why I gave the 3 stars otherwise this is a 5 star for me and my husband.
