The design features a kangaroo and emu with celebratory ribbons. A modern twist to Australia's 50c circulating coin design. The yellow dots represent our national floral emblem - wattle. The golden flowers have been on Australia's Coat of Arms since 1912. The coin's obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles Ill, designed by Daniel Thorne.
