Tasting Notes

Cask Type: First fill 200L ex-bourbon cask
ABV: 48%
Malt: 100% Gladfield Distillers Malt
Non chill filtered, all natural colour and flavour

Appearance: A soft gold.
Nose: Pioneer opens with a sweet nose, carrying notes of zesty vanilla custard, soft tropical fruit, and a touch of meadow hay.
Palate: Layers of vanilla emerge from a foundation of sweet spice.
Finish: Smooth caramel toffee
Overall Impression: A well received and exciting first single malt release from Reefton Distilling Co., with a harmonious mix of flavour that evolves beautifully.
