Echo Beach presents the first vinyl edition of William S. Burroughs in Dub, originally released on CD in 2014 (EB 100 CD). LP features eight tracks from the CD release, and includes the CD itself, with all 15 tracks. Limited edition of 500 copies, paginated and numbered. Since their 2006 debut album Nitro, the Swiss band Dub Spencer & Trance Hill have impressed press and audiences alike with their passion for playing, their sure instinct for sounds, their equally humorous and respectful dubification of popular hits (including Metallica's Enter Sandman) and their immense technical skill. Riddim heard a new soundsphere where typical fat, stoic dub beats contrast with hand-played instruments and experimental sounds. Jazzthetik praised the fantastically tight band, formidable interior dynamic and supremely competent mixdowns. Jazzthing wrote that their psychedelic dub sound, which is occasionally interspersed by Western guitar riffs and true rock solos, sounds wonderfully acoustic and analog. And The Wire had to admit that it sounds cheesy and it shouldn't work, but it does. Their other work includes the Clash tribute album The Clashification of Dub (EB 081 CD/LP), plus a live album and a remix compilation with selective dubs by Victor Rice from Sao Paulo, Brazil. This release celebrates William S. Burroughs and pays tribute to his 2014 centenary, marking a new pop-cultural highlight in their work. With the official support and assistance of the William S. Burroughs Foundation in the United States, the band has succeeded in creating a heavy, ambient masterpiece in 15 chapters. They roll through dub landscapes full of heavy reggae grooves and extraterrestrial electro sounds, carried by pumping basslines with hypnotic power that clears the pathway to the center and gently caresses the stomach. Above the dragging, instrumental reggae cut-ups that gently drift into psychedelic territory, the artfully diluted grooves, breaks, and virtuoso hints, and the majestic slowness of the two riddims, rises the voice of William S. Burroughs, groundbreaking novelist, wanderer between worlds, junky supreme, and counter-cultural icon. His distinctive voice meets craggy soundscapes, harsh guitar chords, and an acerbic Hammond organ that play off against each other in the mixing desk. Drenched in echo, the sounds on this dub treatment contravene the rules of space and time, leaving behind a wonderful feeling of confusion in which listeners can relax and respectfully accompany the soul of their travelling companion William S. Great Yard Helper!
So easy to use and affordable! This edger is a great time saver, easy to operate, and relatively easy to adjust although you may need a pliers or screwdriver to help with the adjustment levels, but its not difficult. I would have given this 5 stars but just one thing that is a sticking point for me is I wish this had its own stand or hanger because of its odd shape, it doesn't necessarily balance upright too well. It’s long and the guide wheel in the front sticks out. So, it is always awkward to get it tidy in the garage when not in use. Now maybe this is what it's like for landscapers…I’m not a professional. Just a homeowner doing my own upkeep. With what this costs, I’ll figure it out, and is worth the money.

Came in skeptical, but it's GREAT!
I read all the bad reviews I could on this thing and considered it an acceptable risk considering the price.
Assembly was easy and the instructions were fair. Not amazing, but once you handle the edger, the gist is clear.
I was skeptical overall that the horsepower and plastic guard weren't going to be enough. I ran it for nearly 45min stopping every 5 or so to check the blade and guard. It stayed tight and I was able to manually turn the blade to make sure it was working right. My front yard and sidewalk have been neglected for a few years. I would sometimes edge it out with the weed Wacker, but couldn't get it as clean as I wanted without breaking a LOT of line.
When I was done, I noticed the guard had a lot of soil and grass buildup that I was able to take out easily with my fingers. There were a few times I scraped the sidewalk edge, but the blade is still solid and ready for more!
I was surprised at the quality and as you're going over an area, it feels solid and not squirly or out of control. My uses are going to be mostly suburban maintenance on my own yard. If I had more land or something bigger, I would consider something larger. For my yard and purposes, this edger is going to work just fine!
Did not notice any issues with the blade getting loose, but stayed aware of it. There is a lock nut that keeps it in place. I imagine over time and switching blades, this is going to lose its locking function, but I already see amazon has replacement blades that come with new lock nuts!

Amazon is wonderful. Edger is not good. Just let you know. Black and Decker very good edger. I should have known. It’s worth trying Amazon. They returned it back quickly, money back. So, I bought from Amazon Black and Decker LE760FF, from them. It worked great, like B&D has the experience to build Edgers.
