The preparation of morphologically controllable Pt nanocrystals was first reported in 1996, and nanocrystals of Pt, Ag, Au, Rh, etc. have been synthesised by different methods. Platinum has a face-centred cubic ( fcc ) structure, but unlike Ag, Au, Pd, etc., it is rarely able to form twins, and most of the platinum nanocrystals have a single-crystal structure. Pt nanoparticles were prepared by chemical reduction method with uniform size and good dispersion, and amino and carboxyl-terminal modified Pt nanoparticles are also available.
