The lens is free of haze, fungus, and significant dust/ Some cleaning signs are visible, but image quality is unaffected.

All buttons and dials function flawlessly and the shutter is precise, even at low speeds. Spacing and advance are correct and the finders are brigh and quite clear. Could benefit from a CLA, but remains entirely usable.

Looks almost unused, excellent overall cosmetic condition, the only defect consists in a small bump on the top.

The Leica IIIg is a 35mm rangefinder camera produced from 1957 to 1960. It represents the final evolution of the screw-mount Leica (LTM or M39) system, retaining the compact, fully mechanical design of its predecessors while incorporating a few refinements. The top plate includes separate windows for the rangefinder and viewfinder, with the latter enlarged compared to earlier models and featuring parallax-corrected, illuminated framelines for 50mm lenses.

Shutter speeds range from 1s to 1/1000s, plus bulb mode, using a horizontally traveling cloth focal-plane shutter. Film advance is manual via a bottom-winding knob. Flash synchronization is available through a PC socket, with a cold shoe on top for accessories.

Paired with the collapsible 50mm f/2.8 Elmar lens, the system is compact and well-balanced. The Elmar 2.8 is a four-element design in three groups, offering improved sharpness over earlier versions. Focusing is manual via a knurled front ring, with a minimum focus distance of 1 meter. Aperture range is f/2.8 to f/16, with click stops.

The IIIg body is all-metal, with finely milled controls and precision mechanics throughout. With the Elmar mounted and collapsed, the camera remains pocketable by rangefinder standards, with total weight around 600g.

STELLAR
Format: Hardcover
Highest quality print. I ordered this book during the early part of the 2020 pandemic. When it arrived I was so happy. The images were comforting during a time of great stress in our world. It reminded me that Final Fantasy has been a tremendous part of my life. I'm grateful for the effort put into this book, which was in part a preview of the Pixel Remasters that came later. Brilliant.

Amazing book, but unnecessary
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
I would give this book 5 stars, but at the end of the day I don't think I can. I love flipping through it and looking at the color palettes and seeing the ways the artists communicated ideas through their limited palettes and spaces. There are also little 3D paper arts you can do of some of the sprites, like the fountain pictured above. It has helped me in my pixel art journey and it could 100% help you. The only reason I would say not to buy it is because all of the sprites are accessible online. If you want to understand the art on a deeper level and develop an appreciation for the passion that pixel art contains, buy it. If you want to look at them quickly as references and are an experienced pixel artist, it is not as useful, you could learn the rules just by looking at the sprites online, but you would miss the explanations and writings that help explain the art.

Great for my Quilting!
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
I bought this book at launch and it has pretty much become my “bible” for Final Fantasy pixel art. I sew and love making nerdy quilts so when I saw this, it was a total insta-buy. It showcases so much original art as well as newly designed sprites (for both older and newer games). I honestly didn’t know about the newer games being designed as sprites so when I saw this, I immediately got to creating. Beyond this being a great pattern book for pixel quilting, I loved seeing a piece of FF history we don’t get to know about. Also loved the interview showcased. A good book for any Final Fantasy lover collection!
