During Spring 2013, fifty students in the 4th year of the Bachelors of Architecture program in the Spitzer School of Architecture at The City College of New York partnered with the Atlantic Avenue BID to design infill buildings for a vacant 10,000 square foot lot at 262 ATLANTIC AVENUE in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, within the area of business and building owners belonging to the Atlantic Avenue BID (Building Improvement District). The students were divided into four studio sections, directed by different professors.

Each studio section considered a different community use program of approximately 30,000 square feet for the site, each an intriguing possibility for enlivening this pivotal block, between Boerum Place and Smith Street:
¥ URBAN RESOURCE CENTER
¥ CULINARY ARTS COLLEGE
¥ ATLANTIC AVENUE SOUND LAB
¥ DIGITAL FAB LAB / INDUSTRIAL CRAFTS MUSEUM

This booklet documents their work, with a specific focus on the Atlantic Avenue-facing elevations of their provocative building proposals.

Versatile and Sturdy
Size: 2 Tier,5.5''Wx10.5''Dx9.5''H
I was able to store a lot of spices in a small space with a couple of these. While you can screw them into the cabinet, I set them on a nonskid shelf liner and so far, don't need to permanently install them with hardware. They're adjustable and sturdy.
