Stylish and extremely comfortable the lattice backs are designed to flex slightly. These work in both a mid century modern, clean lined room or a more rustic country look. The seat is made from elm and the spindles and legs from beech. These design classics are in excellent condition
A highly sought-after early pair of latticed 'candlestick' Windsor chairs by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol in High Wycombe, Bucks, model number 376 and dated 1978.
Stylish and extremely comfortable - the lattice backs are designed to flex slightly.
These work in both a mid-century modern, clean-lined room or a more rustic country look.
The seat is made from elm and the spindles and legs from beech.
These design classics are in excellent condition structurally - no loose joints, sound and sturdy.
They are in untouched original condition, I haven't sanded and refinished them as I like the patina that's building up, I just used some Danish oil and wax to help preserve them.
There is some wear to the original varnish/gloss around the back rail, but I prefer this to being sanded and refinished - see photos.
They both have the original gold Ercol label under the seat with the 376 model number and dated 1978.
