The New York Yacht Club (NYYC) is a private social club and yacht club based in New York City and Newport, Rhode Island. It was founded in 1844 by nine prominent sportsmen. The members have contributed to the sport of yachting and yacht design. As of 2001, the organization was reported to have about 3,000 members. Membership in the club is by invitation only. Its officers include a commodore, vice-commodore, rear-commodore, secretary and treasurer.

The club is headquartered at the New York Yacht Club Building in New York City. The America's Cup trophy was won by members in 1851 and held by the NYYC until 1983. The NYYC successfully defended the trophy twenty-four times in a row before being defeated by the Royal Perth Yacht Club, represented by the yacht Australia II. The NYYC's reign was the longest winning streak as measured by years in the history of all sports.

The NYYC entered 2021 and 2024 America's Cup competition under the syndicate name American Magic.

It's a fun/unusual color, but not "celery"

Can't comment on the fit because we didn't take it out of the bag. I gave it 4 stars because 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 of the suit looks really nice through the plackaging, but we didn't open it up and try it on because the color could not be further from what we were expecting. It's actually a really cool and unusual fun fabric, but not really describable as any shade of green which is what I was going for. It's more of a beige tweed whose tiny plaid upon careful examination even has slightly blue threads.. or is that lavender? In fairness to the manufacturer, I tried and tried to get a photo with lighting that accurately represents this fun and unusual color to no avail. For a proper review I guess I should have my son put it on and take a picture in daylight. But they do need to change the color name at least to "champagne tweed" or something. No idea whose job it was to call this color "celery". ;p

Finding a suit for a tall, slender teenage boy is about as hard as climbing Mt. Everest. Until I found this one!! I was so pleasantly surprised that this suit fit my 15 year old son like a glove. He is 5'10'' and 140 lbs so he needs pants with the proper length and smaller waist. While the waist was slightly big, he didn't need a belt and the pants fell perfectly with a pair of Nike tennis shoes. I ordered a size small and would say the pants were a 32x32 but waist was probably more like a 31. Jacket and vest were a great fit as well. High quality and easy to steam to get the shipping wrinkles out.
