Basking in a Plains Foundation is the true story of a girl dealing with the life that was dealt to her and finding the strength to carry on in the face of innumerable trials. More than that, it is the true story of a community in the Deep South, a community that, despite widespread poverty and misfortune, still looked out for each other and still came together on Sundays for worship. They didn’t have much, but they did have each other. For that, they were thankful.
