Fueled by a desire to start over and make a clean break with Portland, where she'd lived for 21 years, and where she released a string of albums on Hush and Mark Kozelek's Caldo Verde label, played with her band Tu Fawning, and appeared semi-regularly on the parody comedy series Portlandia, Repp headed across the country. The promise of a new relationship was waiting for her, but it wasn't to be. Turning away from the failed relationship after three weeks, Repp made survival a full-time occupation. Stowing her possessions in a storage unit in Woodland Hills, California, and leaving with no real plan, Repp embarked on a nomadic journey that would shade her music for years to come. The songs on this record came together over two fitful, unrooted years that found her working at the Sou'Wester motor lodge on the coast of Washington, staying at the Saint-Erme-Outre-et-Ramecourt convent in Northern France where she dedicated herself to playing music, writing songs in a sublet in Los Angeles, and finally, in Louisville, Kentucky, where she holed up with Danny Seim of Menomena to record this album. Recording during the day and retiring to a small, cold room each night with Phil, a stray cat and bad TV box sets to keep her company, Repp found herself drawn to freedom in ways she'd never experienced it. Built on foundational loops and drones, Repp's songs mingle solid, folk-tinged melodies with distortion, kaleidoscopic pop, and disjointed, cobbled together beats. She buries her resonant anthems under hiss ("Nothing Is On," "Look For Paradise"), navigates uncertainty with eerie confidence ("Need You / Don't Need You," "Lightest Light") and makes her proclamations of independence sound like faithful hymns ("I'll Take The Storm"). Sometimes she sounds like a gospel singer, sometimes she sounds like a slightly malfunctioning tape deck, but always, she sounds free.

Cheap, screw holes don't line up, screen is to short, and bars take WD-40 and a mallet
This has been my worst purchase on Amazon ever. DO NOT BUY. My first issue was that bars #4 and #5 would not go together, I ended up buying WD-40 and a mallet and that kind of got them together. Now I went to but the screen on (which is almost see thought) and the screen is to short. I can't attached the bottom bar to the tall bar. The screw hole is in the wrong spot, so the screen is not secure. No amount of pulling on the screen will make it grown .25" longer. Since I can't get the bars secure the walls are not steady and fall over easily. The feet did go together very nice. I can't return them according to Amazons policy. I bought 2 sets. I'm not going to try to build the other set I have. And I can't take apart the first set, since the bars are so tightly together. Also the polls have rust on them.

Very Poor Built Quality

They use cheap tarp like cloth that you might find on a tent, so it is not suitable as a teleconferencing background without blur applied. The legs are flimsy and lack rubber feet, so it will scratch floors. The tubing is flimsy and very hard to move and adjust. This is only good if you are setting it up somewhere like a gym or a garage.

These are PERFECT for my Art Show coming up!
This is going to be PERFECT for my Art Show display. And also....EASY to put up and take down as well as store. I'm so grateful to have found them! They are super light weight. And sturdy for my application. And elegant and have clean lines for my display. I have ivy draped and also fairy lights which make it look classy yet simple!

Rustic Wall Shelves That Just Work
Size: 17inch, Color: Black
I bought these six floating shelves to add some storage and a cohesive look to a few walls around the house. The set has a rustic real wood vibe with an industrial edge, and the black finish keeps things feeling clean and understated. It turned out to be a practical way to create space without committing to a bulky cabinet, and I appreciated having multiple pieces to arrange in different rooms.
Installation was straightforward. The package includes 12 brackets, wall anchors and screws, plus clear directions, so I could get them up without much hassle. It takes about eight minutes to mount each shelf, and the hardware feels solid. The shelves can hold around 20 pounds each, which is plenty for everyday items like books, a plant, an alarm clock, or framed photos.
In use, the look is exactly what I wanted: sturdy, simple, and able to blend with existing decor across the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. The real wood surface and the exposed metal brackets give a cohesive, rustic vibe that elevates plain walls and makes it easy to rotate items in and out.
One small note is that the boards are 17 inches long and about an inch thick, so planning spacing and wall space matters a bit. The brackets being visible is part of the look, not a flaw, but it means accurate mounting is important. Overall I am very pleased with the set and it earns a solid five stars.
