Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel 30

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel 30 is the larger sibling to the standard 1 M/E panel, designed for high-density live switching. While it maintains a single physical M/E row, it provides 30 dedicated input buttons, making it ideal for large-scale productions that utilize a high number of cameras and playback sources but require a shallow footprint to fit on a standard desk.

Core Functionality

  • 30 Direct Cross Points: Unlike the 10 or 20-button models, the Panel 30 allows for non-shifted access to 30 sources. With the Shift button, you can access a total of 60 sources directly from the hardware.

  • 4 M/E Control: Although it has one physical row, the panel features dedicated M/E selection buttons. This allows you to quickly bank-switch the entire row to control M/E 1, 2, 3, or 4 on switchers like the ATEM Constellation 8K.

  • Triple System Control LCDs: It features three independent LCD screens for menu navigation and parameter adjustment. This allows you to manage multiple settings (like chroma keying, DVE positioning, and transition rates) simultaneously without flipping through pages.

  • Select Bus: Located above the main input row, the dedicated Select Bus allows for rapid routing of sources to auxiliary outputs or internal keyers without affecting the main program/preview transition.

Key Hardware Features

  • 3-Axis Joystick: Provides high-precision control for the DVE (Picture-in-Picture) and positioning wipe patterns. It is also used for remote PTZ camera control.

  • Weighted T-Bar Fader: A professional, ergonomically designed fader for manual transition control, allowing the operator to "ride" a dissolve or wipe in sync with the live performance.

  • Dynamic LCD Scribble Strips: Each of the 30 input buttons features a high-resolution LCD display that automatically pulls the source name and color from the ATEM switcher.

  • Dedicated Macro Buttons: Features 30 dedicated buttons for triggering complex pre-programmed macros, each with its own identifying LCD label.

Operational Insight

In a 2026 production environment, the Panel 30 is favored for its "long and lean" design. At approximately 36 inches wide, it provides the same source-access density as the massive 2 M/E and 4 M/E panels but is significantly shallower (less deep). This makes it the perfect choice for narrow control room desks where operators need to keep their multiview monitors close to their line of sight.

Redundancy & Networking: The panel includes an internal 4-port Ethernet switch. This allows you to connect your switcher, a Camera Control Panel, and a laptop directly to the back of the panel, effectively turning the control surface into the network hub for your entire station.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
