The Beatles swept the world from England to America in the 1960s. As Beatles records are being released one after another in countries around the world, albums (LPs), singles, and 4-song EP records with unique edits have been released in each country, including Capitol in the United States and European countries. There are many different jacket designs from all over the world, and many of them are now popular as valuable collector's items. Even in Japan in the 1960s, albums and singles were released one after another under plans unique to Japan. Basically, the album is the familiar Japanese debut album "The Beatles! Although they had their own original plans, such as "Capitol" in the United States, they were not able to make all different compilation albums and released them in line with the British original, but the single edition was released every month with a combination of A and B sides with Japan's own song selections. It was released one after another and boasted the highest number of single releases in the world. Under such circumstances, a four-song EP record was released in Japan as the "Compact 7 Stereo Series" in August 1964, and a total of 12 records were released with Japan's unique song selection and jacket design until May 1967. In the UK, there are several 4-song EPs, but like the singles, they were only released in monaural. As the project name suggests, the selling point of the "Compact 7 Stereo Series" is that it is recorded in "stereo"; in the early 1960s, even in Japan, singles were only released in monaural, and unlike in the UK and the US, all albums were released in both stereo and monaural. This "Compact 7 Stereo Series" was released as a stereo version, as some songs were not released in stereo format in Japan. However, for songs for which the stereo master was not sent from the UK, a "pseudo stereo" version based on monaural was created and recorded as a forced measure similar to the American Capitol. "I Want to Hold You," "She Loves You," "Strawberry Fields Forever," and "Penny Lane" Depending on the song, pseudo-stereo sound sources produced by the Japanese side are included. Songs such as "I Feel Fine," "Let's Embrace Love," and "Paperback Writer" once became a hot topic as mixes that could only be heard here. On the other hand, "I'm Down" was recorded in the world's first real stereo mix, although it was only released as a mono single in the UK and the US. For collectors of yesteryear, it was an indispensable part of collecting stereo sound sources. Japan's unique "Compact 7 Stereo Series" is a nostalgic item that brings back the 60's for fans of the time, but it also has various distinctive sound sources. In the past, 2CDs with the same content were released by WAX MASTERS, but this time, in order to faithfully reproduce the original analog, we have recorded the latest remastered sound source that has been digitally converted, noise removed, and balanced. did. One of the most important books of recent decades

It’s daunting (many of Robinson’s footnotes are like fascinating blogposts about history, so it’s a lot to get through, let alone think about. But Robinson's deeply-researched account of a Black radicalism independent of European ideas is enlightening. Robin Kelley's introduction to the new edition is worth reading on its own.

Loved by an 8 year old
I bought this for my friend’s son when they were taking an 8 hour train ride to Washington DC. He loved the activities and reading about all of the DC sites! It kept him occupied for the majority of the train ride and he carried it with him when they went site seeing! It was age appropriate and developmentally appropriate as well. Just make sure to pack a pencil and crayons too!

Excellent for Elementary Aged Kids!
We bought a second after seeing how great this travel guide is so both of our elementary age kids could have their own. I will buy this brand of travel guide anytime we go anywhere they offer one. It is informative but also has lots of different activities. I highly recommend this.
