The Hasselblad Distagon T* 50mm CF is a retrofocus wide-angle lens designed for the Hasselblad V-System medium format cameras. Featuring a 50mm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/4, it provides a wide field of view equivalent to approximately 28mm on 35mm format. The optical design incorporates Carl Zeiss T* multi-coating to reduce flare and maintain high contrast and color neutrality across the frame.
The lens uses a leaf shutter integrated into the CF housing, offering flash synchronization at all shutter speeds up to 1/500s. Close focusing down to approximately 0.5m allows versatile wide-angle composition for landscape, architecture, and environmental photography. The mechanical construction follows the all-metal CF series design, with separate focusing and aperture controls and compatibility with Hasselblad’s full range of V-mount film bodies and accessories. The optical rendering is characterized by strong center sharpness, controlled distortion, and consistent edge performance typical of the Zeiss Distagon line.
