The 1600 Era cymbals are designed with pinpoint lathing, lighter in weight and darker in color than the 20th Anniversary series.
Hand crafted in Istanbul-Turkey.

It's a throwback to the 'K' style of cymbal making. Dark and old.
It comes with a patina for a pre-aged feel that helps tamp down some of the overtones as well control the wash.
The stick ping is incredible. Both woody and silvery.
Traditional finish.

Old school sound with controlled dark wash.
Dry articulated stick with medium low pitch.
A great option when you need rich and dark sounds that speak quick and easy but don’t get overly loud.
Excellent choice for most recording situations, also works well with lower-volume jazz to moderate-volume club gigs."

Features a dry and tight sound when played with sticks, while maintaining an extremely articulate tone when played with brushes.
When played in a half-open position, it produces a dense layer of sound.
When closed the chick is distinctly dark and silvery.

Another great one by Gibbs!
Format: Paperback
Great read! I have yet to be disappointed by a Stuart Gibbs book. However, unlike all the others I've read by him, it was a lot less of a mystery, and a lot more of a adventure. Nothing wrong with that, though. I definitely recommend it and can't wait to read the next one!
